Michael Ahmadshahi, PhD, Law Offices is led by attorney Michael M. Ahmadshahi, who holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (1988) and a J.D. in Intellectual Property and General Practice Law (2001), both earned with honors. Before practicing law, he worked as a staff scientist at C.E. Niehoff & Co. and as a research engineer at UC San Diego, focusing on optics and mechanical engineering, and was previously a partner at the Law Offices of Kayhan S. Shakib before establishing his current firm.

The firm handles patent prosecution and patent infringement litigation, along with copyright, trademark, trade secret matters, and IP-related business litigation and contract disputes. Dr. Ahmadshahi personally holds seven U.S. patents and has authored 16 peer-reviewed publications in optics, mechanical engineering, and applied mechanics.

He is a member of the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and belongs to the American Bar Association and Orange County Bar Association.
