Work Injury Law Group LLP, on Prairie Avenue in Lawndale, was founded by its managing partners Ayk Dikijian and Vatche Takarlekian. State Bar records show Dikijian was admitted to the California bar in December 2008 and Takarlekian in December 2010; both earned their law degrees at Southwestern Law School. According to the firm, both worked on the defense side before founding it — Takarlekian as a senior associate at a workers' compensation defense firm, and Dikijian for more than seven years at a Los Angeles civil litigation firm handling workers' compensation and general liability matters.

The firm's team page also lists attorneys Lauren Trenor, admitted in December 2011, and Ali Al-Bassam, admitted in June 2015, according to State Bar records, which place all four lawyers in Lawndale. The firm says Trenor switched from defense work to representing injured workers in 2018 and holds a leadership role in the Southern California Applicants' Attorneys Association, and that Al-Bassam handles workers' compensation and personal injury cases.

Workers' compensation for injured employees is the firm's main practice. Its website lists claims involving back, spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, burns, construction, factory and forklift accidents, truck drivers, occupational disease and psychological injury, along with denied or delayed claims, disputes over medical treatment, permanent disability, vocational rehabilitation, death benefits and third-party claims against parties other than the employer. It also handles personal injury cases, including car, motorcycle and bicycle crashes and slip-and-fall injuries, and employment claims for sexual harassment, wage-and-hour violations and wrongful termination.

The firm offers free consultations and says it charges no fee unless it wins. It says clients meet directly with their own attorney rather than being passed to a case manager.
