Custodio & Dubey LLP, which also uses the name CD Law, was co-founded by Miguel Custodio, Jr. and Vineet Dubey, who according to the firm met during their first year at UCLA School of Law. State Bar records show Mr. Dubey was admitted to the California bar in June 2006. The firm says Mr. Custodio previously ran his own practice handling family law and personal injury cases and speaks Spanish fluently.

Most of the firm's caseload is personal injury. Its website lists car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian crashes, drunk-driving and rideshare collisions, slip and falls and other premises liability claims, dog bites, school and child injuries, abuse of people with special needs, and wrongful death, along with catastrophic injuries such as brain and spinal cord injuries, burns, amputations and paralysis.

The firm also runs other practices. Mr. Dubey handles environmental enforcement cases under Proposition 65, California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, according to the firm. A habitability group, which the firm says is led by attorney Gustavo Boldrini, represents tenants over unsafe living conditions and landlord negligence. The website also lists false advertising claims and an employment practice covering discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage claims.

According to the firm, consultations are free, it charges no attorney's fees unless it recovers compensation, and clients may still be responsible for case costs. The main office is at 445 S Figueroa St, Suite 2520, in downtown Los Angeles; the firm also lists offices in Fullerton and Rialto.
